Gingerbread house....and poses

Elizabeth had such a good time at Pelican Hill on Thanksgiving that we had to go back for the Gingerbread decorating event for the second year in a row. They put on quite a shindig and she loved every minute. 

Elizabeth may look as if she is happy to pose for the camera but I had quite a time getting her to pose and stand still. Although you may gather from a number of the photos that she was in a rather goofy mood.

Thanksgiving Day

On Thanksgiving day we headed over to Elizabeth's favorite place and had a fun day with friends. There was all sorts of revelry for the kids to including a clown, puppet show and lots of room to run. 

Goofin' Around

Just a couple of photos showing Elizabeth's goofier side. Yes, she does have one. I actually have a lot of photos of her goofing around and one of my 802 goals for the year is to put them all together in one post.

She also has quite a good sense of humor, which is quite on par with my own-lucky me. I love the fact that she "gets" a lot of the silliness that I sometimes bestow on her. Her sense of humor is one of the things I truly treasure about her. Among all the other hundreds of things I love about her.

She and I have this ongoing dialogue about "who is luckier". I tell her I am the luckiest one because she is my daughter. She counters that and says "No, I am luckier because you are my mom." I counter that with, 'nope, I am definitely luckier". She usually gets a bit annoyed and is determined to be the "luckier" one. Yes, she is a "tad" competitive. Although we did finally come to an agreement."we are both the luckiest ones." And what a "divine" argument to have. And what a lucky mom I am.

So here is a video I of Elizabeth at a "Fancy Nancy" luncheon where the illustrator of the Fancy Nancy books is instructing all the lovely little girls on how to walk properly...with the help of a banana.

Dance Recital

Okay so you may have seen some of these photos back in June when Elizabeth actually had her dance recital. And gee, it is only October and I finally got around to posting these- and she already well onto a new form of dance with a new dance troupe.

Yes, she joined a new contemporary jazz dance group that is so stinkin' cute you can't even believe it. More photos on that to come.

It has been a while since I have posted...and yes, there has been lots going on and lots to say. And yes, Elizabeth has been learning and growing and turning into quite a little lady.

I have lots more to say but I figured I would just share this group of photos. It seems as if yesterday Elizabeth was a little 10 month old baby and now she is this amazing little girl. I love all of these photos and isn't it something to see her with all of her Chinese "sisters'. How cute are they!
