Of course it seems that most parents of three year olds these days wouldn't think it unusual. When we were kids, I think most 3 years olds hung around in their pajamas half the day.

My Dayrunner is full....
Here is Elizabeth dressed and ready to head out to school in the morning. Yeah, she has a pretty busy schedule. My brother keeps reminding me, "she's only three". Yeah she is only three, but she attends Montessori on MWF and her other school dedicated to speech on Tues/Thurs. And then once or twice a week she has her speech therapy. And that doesn't include any appts. with her audiologist, eye dcctor, optician, etc. etc. etc.
Of course it seems that most parents of three year olds these days wouldn't think it unusual. When we were kids, I think most 3 years olds hung around in their pajamas half the day.

E as Pat Benatar
So here she is with her "treasured" guitar courtesy of Aunt LaLa and Aunt Re...and well, you can she how she has taken to it. Seeing her in this video, my idealized image of her as a sweet young woman, has been overshadowed by images of her in a punk rock band. CBGB's here she comes. (Is that place still open?)

The Princesses and the Party
Elizabeth had her long awaited 3rd Birthday Princess Party. And judging from all the girl's faces, I think it was a success. She was thrilled beyond belief to have all of her dear friends at the party and has been talking about it every since.
I am posting just a few quick videos here since I am a little under the weather and have been since the party ended. I can tell you this, planning a three year old party can really be exhausting. And if it hadn't been for the help of cousin Laura, I never would have made it--but it was all worth it. And I love each of these little girls! I will post more photos when I gain some energy. My one regret is that I didn't get enough pictures. And can you believe it, I don't have one photo of me and Elizabeth on that day--not to mention none of her with Laura or her grandparents. I managed somehow to get one of her and Marty.
But there are more photos to come of the girls--and that is who this party was for!!!
Elizabeth had the time of her life and after the things she has dealt with this year year, we couldn't be happier that she had such a fun day!

Happy Birthday Baby!
Elizabeth's turned 3 on January 15th!!! . There is lots more to say but for now I will post a video of Elizabeth at her new school. (not sure if I filled you in on that score but I will tell you more about her changing curriculum).
At her new school they celebrate birthdays in a really cute way. She is really turning into quite the "little lady" isn't she?
And this gives you an idea of what her playground experience is like at Montessori.
I still remember we had a friend visiting a few years ago and they had sublet an apartmentthat was right behind this school playground--can you imagine living in earshot of this playground?
