The Party lives on...

As you know I am woefully behind in posting...

Here is Elizabeth with Auntie Laura who once again pulled out all the stops in her help with making Elizabeth's birthday party a resounding success. What she doesn't know is that next year Elizabeth is expecting even bigger and better things, aka--more balloons! The good news this year was that we were smart enough to "order out" for the balloons.
This photos shows the duo having a much deserved and relaxing lunch at The Bay Club...the day after the shindig.

And here is the "Castle Cake" that Elizabeth insisted on. Although she didn't demand that it feed 50 people. I suppose that both Laura and I are guilty of over reaching on the size. But, let's face it--a castle just CAN'T be tiny!
Elizabeth loved it and hopefully this photo will let it stand as an enduring memory!

Oh and we did get some good use out of those balloons after the party. They decorated the house for days...actually weeks. We still have a few shopping bags filled with these special helium balloons. Elizabeth carries them around the house and uses them for some purposes I think having to with purposes of which I am not sure.

The Birthday Week

So I am woefully behind in posting both pictures and goings on of Elizabeth and Co.
Her birthday week was very busy and started on her actual birthday with lunch at one of her favorite haunts, the Balboa Bay Club. She had lunch with grandma and grandpa.

More to follow...

Some photos from the "Big Party"

So here they are...a bunch of photos from the party. Sorry I didn't label each of them. I will try to go back and edit them later. And sorry the photos are so lousy for the most part. The lighting was terrible but at least you get the idea.

There was lots of merriment that day. First Snow White arrived and Elizabeth took her hand and pretty much did not let go of it for the whole 2.5 hours that Snow White was there.

Snow White led the girls on Treasure Hunt, a tea party, crown decorating, storytime and freeze dancing. It was a Princess dream come true for sure and pretty much came off about as well as we could have hoped for.

Will be adding more pics of the party and also of her birthday "week" celebrations.

If you weren't there, we wish you had been!

Wish Upon A Princess-Happy 4th Birthday baby! January 15

There is lots and lots to say and post. And this has been a busy week. January 15th was Elizabeth's birthday and we named the last week Elizabeth's birthday "week". She has had a few celebrations since then which culminated in yesterday's wonderous birthay celebration complete with a visit from Snow White.

Here is a photo of her with Snow White--I will get lots more pictures up in the next day or so--we have been so busy around here preparing for arrival of Princess Snow White that we have barely had time to sleep!

Holiday Party at School

A few weeks ago Elizabeth's school held their Holiday Party. The kids all learn a few songs and sing them for their parents. For 3 and 4 year olds they do an amazing job. One of these days I will figure out what the heck is going on with the video uploads on blogger and you will be able to see some cute videos of the party.

Here is Elizabeth with her teacher Miss Lindsay...

And here she is with one of the teachers' assistant (who also happens to be a qualified teacher with a Masters Degree)

And this is the third teacher in her class, Miss Ebru. If you are wondering why there are three teachers, well--there are 27 kids in Elizabeth's preschool class.

Here she is with her classmates as they gear up for their chorus of songs. It was so cute to see all of them and Elizabeth did an amazing job. She even held it together when her barette fell out of her hair. She looked at me in panic and then just held it in her hair. I thought for sure she would run up to me and ask me to fix her hair. Nope, she held it together like the professional she is.
