We have been home for most of the holiday--with me nursing a nasty little cold. But, we did manage to get down to Legoland for Christmas day. Yep, you heard it right--we spent Christmas day down in San Diego at Legoland. There wasn't much of a presence of Christmas at Legoland and I think I might have been the only one there who had ever celebrated Christmas. It was a nice day to go since it wasn't too crowded--although the crowd was larger than I would have thought.
And Elizabeth loved it. Once we got her past the notion that our "long drive" was not to another doctor's office, she was thrilled.
We also realized that Legoland had a pretty nice selection of rides for a three year old. She got to ride on "planes, trains, automobiles--and boats too.
This little video of her leaving Legoland pretty much sums up her experience with the place.
Marty and I were convinced that Elizabeth would never be able to handle herself on the cars that she had to basically "drive" herself. You had to be three to get on the ride, but she is tall enough to easily "pass". She surprised us by driving along with the rest of the kids-no problem Go figure. Oh yeah, she still insists on making her famous "crazy face" more often than we would like.
She even got an official Driver' License when she completed a few laps.
And here we are on the boat that you actually had to steer--which didn't work out so well on certain turns...
She insisted on posing quite often...
She really liked the "choo choo" train. Probably rode that two minute ride at least a dozen times.
