Yes, it has been over a month since the last post. Has it really been a month? Oh and what have I been doing. Don' ask. Well, now that you have...
The last post was all about Elizabeth's first day of kindergarten. Well, as I may have alluded to, I wasn't exactly thrilled with all aspects of her new school and class. And if you have talked with me at all over the last three weeks you know that I have been, stressing, obsessing and coming close to being institutionalized over the decision of whether to switch schools.
Suffice to say, we did decide to switch schools for lots of reason I will go into later when I tell you more about the school. The good news is that while Elizabeth loved her "old" school, she is even more excited about her "new" school. Stay tuned.
Right now I am so exhausted by the last few weeks that I will offer some comic relief.
A couple of weeks ago Elizabeth went to an Alice in Wonderland party. It was beautifully orchestrated by the twins mom (twin girls party). The only problem was that the mom had not met The Mad Hatter in person. Since I am not sure who will be reading this I will tell you about the "uniqueness" of the actor who showed up to play him when we talk or email privately. Let's just say this, the "Mad" Hatter "made" the party--although not quite in the way that the hostess had anticipated.
The children, however, had a grand old time-while confirming the fact that you cannot count on a five year old to be the best judge of character. 'Nough said.
Elizabeth loves to have her "arm" painted by the face painters that are often the hit of a children's party. Her mama is quite happy about that--and you understand if you have ever had to pick glitter out of a five year old's eye.
